Modified on Fri, 10 Nov 2023 at 05:41 AM

Log into your email account via Webmail. You can do this by navigating to Site Tools -> Email -> Actions Menu next to the desired email account -> Log into Webmail.

Once you’re logged in, go to Settings. It is the third button from the top on the panel, that looks like a gear wheel, on the left side of the screen. In the Settings menu, select Identities. Click on Create to add a new identity.

Fill in the available fields as explained below:

  • Display Name: This is the name that will appear in the “From” field when you send an email. It can be your personal name, your business name, or any other name you want to use.
  • Email: This is the email address that will be used as the sender’s address. It is recommended to set this field to your email address to prevent the messages sent with this identity from being marked as spam.
  • Organization: If you’re part of an organization, you can enter its name here. This field is optional.
  • Reply-To: This is the email address that will receive the replies to your emails. If you leave this field blank, the replies will be sent to the email address specified in the Email field.
  • Bcc: If you want to automatically send a blind copy of all your emails to a specific address, you can enter it here. This field is optional.
  • Set default: If you want this identity to be used as the default one when you send an email, check this box.
  • Signature: This is the text that will be automatically added at the end of all your emails. It can include your name, your contact information, a quote, or any other text you want to use.

Once you’ve filled in all the necessary fields, click on Save to create your new identity.

By following these steps, you can easily change the default sender identity in Webmail. This can help you personalize your emails and make them more recognizable to your recipients.
